Vyno Legal proudly presents the Varaa Vyno Legal Trial Moot Competition 2026, a premier national-level virtual trial advocacy competition designed to provide law students with a realistic and immersive courtroom experience.
Since its inception on 13th September 2024, Vyno Legal has evolved into a dynamic, professionals-driven legal movement committed to bridging legal scholarship with real-world advocacy. Building on the success of our National Moot Court Competitions, academic webinars, and scholarly initiatives, we now bring you an advanced trial-format moot focused on evidentiary appreciation, procedural strategy, witness handling, and persuasive oral advocacy.
This is not merely a moot court - it is a simulated litigation experience.
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Scheduled from 03rd to 05th April 2026, this three-day national competition is structured to challenge participants beyond conventional moot formats.
Unlike traditional appellate moots, this Trial Moot emphasizes:
Courtroom strategy and procedural application
Appreciation of evidence
Effective rebuttals and sur-rebuttals
Real-time judicial interaction
Persuasive and structured oral advocacy
Participants will argue before esteemed judges and legal professionals, receiving valuable feedback that enhances courtroom readiness.
ELIGIBILITY
Open to students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. and 5-year Integrated Law Programs
Institution must be recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI)
Maximum 3 teams per institution
No NOC required
Team Composition:
2 Members (2 Speakers; one may act as Researcher), OR
3 Members (2 Speakers + 1 Researcher)

Note:
The dates of the Varaa Vyno Legal Trial Moot Competition 2026 are subject to change only in the event of inconvenience faced by registered participants. And in extreme or unforeseen circumstances, the Organising Committee reserves the absolute discretion and authority to postpone or prepone the competition, with due intimation to all registered teams.

MEMORIAL GUIDELINES
Each team must submit:
One memorial for Petitioner/Applicant (Blue Cover)
One memorial for Respondent (Red Cover)

A4 size, Times New Roman
Font Size: 12 (Text), 10 (Footnotes)
Line Spacing: 1.5 (Text), Single (Footnotes)
Margin: 1 inch on all sides
Maximum: 35 pages
Bluebook 20th Edition citation style mandatory
Strict anonymity (only Team Code permitted)
Late submission: Penalty of 10 marks per day. No submission accepted after one day of deadline.
