This internship is ideal for individuals looking to strengthen their legal drafting abilities, understand the nuances of Special Leave Petitions (SLPs), and develop a well-rounded approach to appellate advocacy.
About the Internship
The Apex Court Drafting Internship focuses on imparting clarity, precision, and depth in legal writing through real-time assignments and guided tasks. Each component of the internship has been designed to cultivate essential litigation-oriented skills.
Key Areas of Learning
1. SLP Drafting
Interns will learn:
The structure and components of Special Leave Petitions
How to frame questions of law
Techniques for drafting synopsis, list of dates, grounds, and prayers
Understanding maintainability issues and relevant jurisprudence
2. Case Notes Drafting
Interns will be guided on:
Preparing concise yet comprehensive case briefs

Analyzing judgments of the Supreme Court and High Courts

Duration
One Month
Remote Internship
Interns can complete tasks from anywhere, with flexibility in working hours. Weekly guidance, review, and feedback will be provided.
Eligibility Criteria
This internship is preferably recommended for:
4th and 5th-year law students enrolled in five-year integrated law programmes
Final-year students of three-year LL.B courses
Students with prior interest in litigation, research, or appellate drafting
However, passionate and committed students from other years may also be considered based on the quality of their application.

Completion Requirement
The Internship Certificate will be issued only after the intern completes all assigned tasks within the given timelines.
Original Work Submission
All drafts and research submissions must be original, well-structured, and plagiarism-free.
Professional Conduct
Interns are expected to maintain professionalism in communication, timely submissions, and adherence to instructions.
No Registration Fee
Participation is completely free of cost.
